Pluto: The Final Conquest

Earth has conquered almost all the planets in its Solar System and she has just 1 planet left to conquer. That Planet is called Pluto.

June 19^th 2007 at about 1740hr, Earth has dispatched her primary and main defense against any alien life forms that may be living or roaming around in space. She called upon the ‘GDF’. GDF stands for ‘Global Defense Force’. The soldiers are formed by soldiers from all over the world. The team that is on their way to Pluto is lead by Supreme Senete General Rashwin. There are 10 members in his team. 4 from Singapore, 2 from America, 2 from Japan and the last 2 are from France.

As soon as they had landed on Pluto, they had to set up a few important things, like an ‘Oxygen Supply Centre’, and a ‘Communication Tower’. After the equipments were set up, the soldiers can walk around and communicate with Earth at any time they wanted. They took 10 days to set up the equipments.

One day, Sgt. Morisa and his partner, Capt. Pipit, were patrolling near an area with was given the ‘Off-Limits’ by Rashwin. The area was called ‘Death Valley’. The reason for naming it the Death Valley was because its paths were as red as blood. Without any back-up or proper authorization from Rashwin, they processed into the Death Valley. Halfway through, they saw something which they wish they had not seen. What they saw was truly out off this world. What they saw was a species called ‘Plutrons’.

Plutrons are ugly creatures. They are even uglier than the Martians. During the conquest for Mars, the GDF had to do battle with the Martians. Of course, Earth was victorious but she suffered a heavy lost of soldiers. Even though Earth won, they almost lost the war due to lack of man power and weapons.

At this point in time, Earth is still in no condition to engage in another war. So the 2 France soldiers decided to get out of there and inform Rashwin about what they saw but as they were making their way out, 1 of the Plutrons spotted them and gave out a loud cry. When the 2 France soldiers turned back to have a look, they were surprised to see so many Plutons appearing from almost everywhere. Immediately, they decided to run. While they were running, they didn’t notice that they were leading a whole herd of Plutrons to their base. By the time they had realized their mistake, it was too late but they still informed Rashwin about their current situation. Upon receiving the information, Rashwin told the other soldiers to prepare for battle.

Event though they knew that they may not survive this battle, calling for back up will be useless as would take about 2 months to travel from Earth to Pluto. Calling for back up from the nearest planet, Neptune, will also be useless, as it will take at least 5 days to travel to Pluto. The only option was to fight it out alone.

As they were loading up their weapons, they saw their France teammates running towards them with the Plutrons galloping behind them. Then the rest of the soldiers who were waiting at the base site thought that the battle would be a little easy as the Plutrons had no weapons.

Suddenly, 1 of the Plutrons jumped about 3 meters into the air and land directly on Pipit and began to tear him up. Seconds after Pipit went down, another Plutron did the same to Morisa. Immediately, Rashwin ordered his men to open fire at the Plutrons. The more they shoot, the more the Plutrons died but the faster they were running low on ammunitions and there were still some more Plutrons that were still attacking. Then Senete General Eddy began to throw 2 hand grenades at the Plutrons but he only had 2 with him.

While there was a battle taking place on Pluto, a GDF Space Craft was on its way to Pluto to check up on Rashwin and his men. From space, they saw flashes of fire flashing. Then the captain of the Space Craft began to radio in Rashwin or any of his men but had no responses. Immediately, he ordered his pilot to head towards Pluto at full speed. When they arrived at the base camp site, they noticed that Rashwin and his men were engaged in battle with some ugly creates. Then the pilot opened fire at some of the Plutrons to give the soldiers some cover fire.

When the soldiers finally noticed the, Eddy and Supreme General Tarmidzi began to radio the Space Craft for immediate evacuation. While giving the soldiers cover fire, the pilot maneuvered the Space Craft above the soldiers and dropped them a ladder. Immediately, the soldiers began to climb the ladder. As the Space Craft was taking off, 4 Plutrons jumped up and grabbed SSgt. Scott, Sgt.Miller and Cpl. Okada and pulled them down to the waiting Plutrons below the Space Craft. While the other 5 soldiers made it out alive, they mourn the death of the fallen teammates. They also vow to take revenge against the Plutrons even though they know that it will not be easy.

5 days later, the shuttle had landed on Neptune. Rashwin explained everything that had happened on Pluto to a higher officer than himself, Commisioner General of GDF Hisham. Immediately, Hisham declared war on the Plutrons. Then he ordered all the soldiers on Neptune to prepare for war. Then all soldiers began to load up every weapon, ammunition that they could find and were ready to go into battle. Then they were split into 20 Space Craft and each Space Craft has 50 soldiers. The survivors for the previous battle also went into battle.

5 days had passed since they left Neptune for Pluto. Most of the soldiers are kind of nervous and scared after they had heard the stories that were told by the survivors of the previous battle.

“E.T.A landing 60 seconds”, shouted out the pilot of 1 of the Space Craft.

As soon as the Space Crafts had landed, all the GDF soldiers came running out shouting aggressively and judging by the way they were shouting, they were ready to face the Plutrons in war but as they were running they noticed that there were no Plutrons around. Not a single Plutron could be found so they stopped and looked at each other in confusion.

Suddenly, a herd of Plutrons jumped over the hills which were surrounding the soldiers and started to attack soldiers. The soldiers started to open fire on the on-coming Plutrons. Now war against the Plutrons had begun.

About an hour later, all the Plutrons were thought to be died but they were wrong. After being reduced from 1000 soldiers to 529 soldiers, an upgrade version of the Plutrons came along with guns in hand. These breed of Plutrons were different from the previous ones. The previous Plutrons were more like the worker type, whereas these Plutrons are more like the soldier type.

“There must be more than a thousand of them sir”, shouted Eddy to Hisham.

“Hold your position men and stick together no matter what. Understand?” replied Hisham.

“Sir, yes sir”, replied the remaining soldiers.

Without any hesitation, Rashwin was the 1^st to open fire on the new breed of Plutrons. Then the Plutrons began to retaliate. Now a new war has begun. No one would think that conquering a planet would be this difficult. As 1 by 1 the Plutrons began to die, the worst thing that could happen in a war happened. The soldiers were running low on ammunitions. Then the soldiers began to retreat back to the battle field which is filled with the corpse of both human and Plutrons.

Once the got there, they picked up guns from there died teammates and opened fire at the Plutrons. Whenever the soldier’s gun runs out of ammunition, he would have to make a run for a new gun. Problem is that they will have to run into the cross fire to pick up the gun. Due to this, many soldiers lost their lives. Soon the war was over and only 86 soldiers were left standing. A last, the war is over. Finally, Pluto was under Earth’s control. Finally, Earth has conquered all the planets in its solar system.

As the remaining soldiers were calling for evac, Hisham was sitting on a rock thing of something. Then Rashwin asked Hisham what he was thinking about, he replied that he was thinking about a mistake that he did. He made a mistake that cost him a friend’s live. Due to that, he wanted to retire as a GDF Officer. Then he told Rashwin and the Eddy that Smith died because of him.

During the war, Hisham’s gun was jammed. He should have just chaged gun. As he tried to fix it, he didn’t realize that a Plutron was taking aim of at him. Smith took notice and tried to warn Hisham but due to the sounds of gun firing, it interfered with his voice. So with a gulp of air, Smith ran towards Hisham and stood in between Hisham and the Plutron. By the time Hisham realized what had happened, it was too late as Smith was shot down. As Smith began to fall, Kok Wai began to open fire at that particular Plutron until its head blew off.

Then Rashwin, Eddy and Kok Wai tried to comfort Hisham by telling that it wasn’t his fault that Smith died. They also added that Smith chose to risk his life to save Hisham’s live. Then Kok Wai added that what matters now is that Hisham is well and alive, plus Pluto is now theirs.

5 years have past since the war had ended and Pluto has changed a lot. It has changed from an empty deserted area to a high class world of cities. Many people lived there and they love the planet so much that they are willing to change their birth certificates to claim that they were born on Pluto.

So far, Pluto seemed like a peaceful place to live and work in but there’s some thing terrible about to happen. The GDF did not notice this even though they have been protecting Pluto for 5 years. Deep under the surface of Pluto, Plutrons still live. They have waited for 5 years to claim back what is rightfully theirs and they are very angry.
